Antoinette (“Toni”) SummersOf Counsel

Antoinette (Toni) Summers is Of Counsel at Longa Law.  Here, she focuses on Medicaid and Guardianship matters.  Toni is a seasoned practitioner with over 14 years of experience as a labor and employment attorney and anti-discrimination advocate.  However, for the past 10 years she has been refocused on the problems of caring for the aged and disabled via her practice as a professional guardian and as an elder law attorney.  Toni’s expertise now includes reviewing care plans, preparing directives, and navigating the government benefits maze to secure appropriate housing and medical care as well as rehabilitative services for incapacitated or special needs individuals.  Moreover, as a certified Eldercaring Coordinator, she is a staunch advocate for the rights of the elderly and tries to ensure that their dignity and voice remains heard when their capacity has diminished.  She is a certified Family Law Mediator, Elder Law Mediator and is licensed to practice in Florida and Ohio.  She is a member of the North Tampa Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar association, and the George Edgecomb Bar Association.  Toni graduated from Howard University School of Law with honors, and Middlebury College with a double B.A. in English and Spanish.
