Last Friday, I helped one of my good friends complete her and her husband’s estate plan, and they finally signed the finished documents on a beautiful afternoon at her condo on the ocean.  The process was difficult for her.  Not because she had much to do; I did the hard work for her. But she had a fear that if she did her will, she would die. She knew that this was an irrational fear, but it was still holding her back from creating these most important and necessary legal documents. After the signing, she was so relieved and grateful to have done it that she invited us all to celebrate with a glass of champagne.  We toasted to a long life.
