Longa Law Firm charges reasonable, competitive rates.  We do not charge corporate firm rates, and our clients do not pay attorney's fees for paralegal services.  We encourage you to check rates at other firms and ask if an attorney will be handling your matter personally or if the work will be performed by a paralegal or administrative assistant. 

 

We understand the difficulty faced by individuals and small businesses when trying to budget for legal services, so we charge flat fees whenever possible.  I provide written estimates for legal fees and outside costs either during or immediately after our consultation.   The initial consultation is free, but an appointment must be made in advance.  The purpose of an initial consultation is not to render a definitive legal opinion, but rather for you to meet with the attorney and find out what, if anything, the attorney can do for you and how much it will cost.  

 

o A flat fee is usually charged for contract drafting and estate planning services. 

 

o Civil Litigation matters are typically handled on a contingent fee basis, meaning that if there is no recovery, no fee is due to the attorney.  Select cases, such as contract disputes, may be accepted on an hourly fee basis, and the attorney will provide a written estimate of those fees either during or immediately after your free initial consultation.

 

o Attorney’s Fees do not include court costs or other outside expenses, such as filing fees, investigation services, delivery costs, process servers, court reporter fees, deposition transcript costs, translator fees, or other expenses that are reasonably necessary.  All clients are personally responsible for these outside costs.  When you meet with the attorney,  you will receive information on what fees and costs may apply to your case.
